I have rushed and changed my IE settings to block Javascript, but some sites need it but what if it is malicious.

Try the links above, am I safe if I enable Javascript again?

Ok so the first link is a bit worring but as to the second didnt your antivirus pick up and stop the downloads?

Remember this site is trying to sell you something.

  Megatyte 01:46 19 Mar 03

BEWARE!!!!!! The second link is a trojan.

  Megatyte 01:48 19 Mar 03

Oops. I'm a bit slow tonight. Time to sleep I think.

  Gaz 25 01:49 19 Mar 03

BUT what about the Control panel thing, is that a Trojan?

NEED urgent help?

  Gaz 25 01:51 19 Mar 03

recommend the damn company.

  AndySD 01:55 19 Mar 03

The Control panel thing is a variant on a trojan script...put there to help scare you into buying their software. Your Antivirus should have caught it before it installed and given you the chance to delete it. If it didnt then either update the Antivirus or change it for a better one.

This stopped this working on my system.

Personally I think sites like this using such scare tactics need to be removed.

I have run it, where do I find this on my system and remove it?

i think it's one of those vb things that sends info from your hard disk to your monitor..it isnt broadcast anywhere.. just trying to scare people into buying theie software.
