urgent help required

I have changed my admin password on my laptop & can't log on. I cannot find my set of rcovery dics, which is a bit suspect!

HP Laptop running Win XP Pro Sp2.

Can anyone help me how to bypass/recover password?

I have a set of dics for my desktop but as there is no floppy drive on laptop I can't use them.

mitsme, kindly give your posts a more descriptive title so that members know what your problem is and therefore do not waste time on something that they know they can`t answer. "Urgent Help required" conveys nothing and you would get more replies. Thanks.

Are you able to share the solution?

Thank you for your kind advice, though the issue had been resolved, re posting.

I used a utility that came with the laptop, back to scratch, basically! Have a few more things to tweak and fiddle with & but seems to be cugging along ok.

Good for you, well done.

Not so much good for me or well done.
More of a case of RTFM :)) & a DOH!

I now have another problem, as I mentioned my recovery discs went missing, so also did the install disc for my security suite. So I'm now hunting about for a recovery solution for that.

But all else still seems to be working fine, so far.
