Upgrading my graphics card.

I'm changing my graphics card from a GeForce4 MX 420 64 mb to a GeForceFX 5600 256mb , is there anything i should do before i start .

1) Control Panel, Add / Remove Programs, Remove NVidia Drivers (or whatever current driver are called)

2) Reboot

3) Allow Windows to load its own drivers

4) Install drivers from CD that comes with card

5) Once stable consider upgrading to latest drivers from click here

6) Enjoy.

Between 2 and 3) Remove old card and insert new card.

you must uninstall current drivers.

And shutdown PC (not Restart)

Be sure to switch off at mains.

Remove old g card and install new one

Start computer

Follow instructions with new card to install drivers.
