Im thinking of upgrading to a Soltek 75DRV5 with XP1800+. Any opinions or other choices I have £200 to spend. Also is it just a case of removing my old board and inserting the new one.

What have you got at the moment ...eg make/model of PC motherboard and graphics card and what wattage is the power suply.

Make sure all the jumpers on the motherboard are in there correct position.

I would connect each device up at once and make sure it is detected in the BIOS.

I've seen a few people on here where they have replaced the mobo and CPU and it's caused problems. A complete format and reinstallation of the O/s etc is what is recommended.

You are going to need a new case as the the motherboards are ATX also new RAM as well as the motherboard and processor.

It may be better to look at the nvidia motherboard with onboard graphics and sound PC2100 memory and the case then look at which processor you can afford now (you can upgrade it later)
