Hi

I currently have a 3 year old Dell Dimension 2400 with onboard graphics, i'm thinking of upgrading my current 19" CRT Monitor to a Cibox 22" Widescreen TFT 1680x1050 16:10 Monitor ( click here )
but i'm unsure whether it will work with my PC, the resolutions i have to select on the desktop are:

800x600
1024x768
1152x864
1280x600
1280x720
1280x768
1280x1024
1600x900
1600x1200

Does anybody know whether the Widescreen Monitor would work with my Dell PC?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

It should work well on 1600 x 900 which is on your pc.

1680 x 1050 is the max available, if you had such an output.

it's natural res would probably be just below this, hence the ability to use other size outputs.

as you wont be using it at max, you can increase the frame rate if required

I have a GF6600 graphics card. Before I upgraded to a 20" widescreen Samsung monitor, I couldn't select the 1680 x 1050 resolution. Once the new monitor was connected and I'd installed the drivers for it from the Samsung CD, the 1680 x 1050 resolution became available. I didn't do anything to the graphics card drivers.

How you'll fare with onboard graphics I don't know. Maybe Dell could tell you??
