upgrading hardware with vista home premium

can anyone help?
Im about to upgrade my processor and add a second hard drive, will windows need reactivating if i do so. i'm running full version of vista home premium(not the oem or upgrade version)

I don't think Vista will need re-activating - I think that'll only happen with a motherboard change. G

If you have a full retail version of Vista - it doesn't matter whether it will need re-activating or not - because the licence is valid for any hardware changes, or even a new system (as long as it's only on one system at a time).

If it needs re-activating, it will probably do so automatically, if not a phone call will get it done for you.
