Upgrading to Firefox2

I upgraded to FF2 last week but noticed today that both FF 1.5.0.7 and 2.0 were listed in All Progs. So I tried to delete 1.5 in Add/Remove but this resulted in both Firefox versions disappearing! Fortunately I'd made a Restore so I'm back up and running but what should one do in this situation?

Delete Firefox 1.5 via control panel-add/remove programs, then reinstall Firefox 2.0

Uninstall FFox and reistall FF2

Thanks modelflyer and rawprawn.
My next question has to be, how come it's possible to uninstall 1.5 without losing all my settings and bookmarks? Sorry to be thick!

Your Firefox profile is held in your 'Documents and Settings\UserName\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles' folder on your main drive and, as such, is unaffected by an uninstall/re-install of the program.

Everything should be carried over to the new installation

I just install a new version of Firefox over the old version and did so with Version 2.0

Ah! Well now that's interesting!
Thanks beynac (and of course modelflyer)

Hi Stuartli, so did not find that the original version was still there?
