hi
i want to buy a new processor most prob AMD athlon 64x2 dual core, a new motherboard and a good graphics card so i can play the game F.E.A.R. and other big graphic games on, im looking to spend about £300-£400 or cheaper
any ideas where please

p.s.i have a AMD athlon xp 1900+ and a geforce 3 ti 200 graphics card at the mo if i get a new graphics card will my processor be able to run F.E.A.R.?

I run it on top whack on my system:-- Athlon xp 2600+, 1 gig ram, nvidia 6600gt graphics with no worries at all, so you should be able to run it on yours: (maybe turned down a bit) if you get a....say 6600gt. but you don't say what ram you've got.

One thing you may want to consider casper69, presuming the PC you have now has an AGP port and in a few months time you want to get a new PC which will probably involve a PCI Express graphics card you may find that you have wasted your money as the AGP card will not fit on a PCIE motherboard. I was in a similar situation up to last week, whether to upgrade my PC now or try another graphics card and upgrade later. I decided to build a new PC. Not trying to muddy the waters here but if are getting a new PC then it may be a waste getting a 6600GT AGP graphics card.

Yea braindead's got a good point, but I think you can get mobo's with PCI-X and AGP on them although they are rare.
