Upgraded to LiveBox - Q.re Speedtouch

  Ankermi31 11:01 12 Jul 08

Desktop XP
L/Top Vista.

Having just gone on to LiveBox and got both systems working (at last...!!)

My question is can I now safely uninstall the original speedtouch connection programme.

The taskbar icon is showing 4 red squares so is obviously disconnected.

Presume you mean a Speedtouch USB broadband modem? If so yes, you can safely remove the program assuming you are happy everything is working well with the Livebox.

Hi FreeCell
Yes I meant the Speedtouch USB modem! That is removed from the computer as I now have the red lead for the Livebox fitted in its place.

Had a bleep first thing this morning the laptop fired up the desktop did not! Orange checked things through and said it was "the computer".

Fiddled around myself and switched the USB red cable into another "hole in the back" and am now working both the desktop on XP upstairs and the laptop downstairs/garden (Vista) on Livebox ok.

Thanks again
