Upgrade Problem - Display issues

A brief outline of my problem.

I'm in the process of upgrading my PC with a new Asus A8V-E Deluxe motherboard with skt 939 AMD 64 processor and 2 512MB PC3200 184-pin modules.

In testing the PC setup, following install, the internal fans whir (CPU heatsink / graphics card / case fan), the system appears to start to boot up, but no display!

The problem isn't with the monitor or cable as both work perfectly with another PC that I have. The graphics card has now been replaced (with a new 256MB ATI Radeon X850XT PCI-Express graphics card) and the processor, memory amd connectors all double and triple checked. Still no display though.

Any ideas? Could this be a faulty motherboard or RAM?

There were problems with AMD's Winchester processors and some Ati chipped cards. Does sound like the mobo is defective though. Do you get any beeps on boot up?

Thanks for the response Jim. I can confirm no beeps encountered on boot up.
