Upgrade or wait

For the past couple of months I have been considering whether to upgrade my PC and if I do is the upgrade worth it.

This is what I have at the moment,

Windows 7 64 bit

Motherboard - Gigabyte P55-UD4

CPU - Quad core i5 750 @2.67

Memory - 4GB Crucial DDR3

Graphic card- ATI HD 8750

500GB Samsung HD502HJ hard drive

Corsair 750W PSU

I do a fair bit of video work, photos plus gaming and have been thinking is the money spent on an upgrade worth it, the next available stuff would be say a P67 mobo, one of the new Sandy Bridge Quad Core Processors, better graphic card or put an SSD drive in place of a standard drive, or just increase memory.

I don't want to spend money just for the sake of of it but if I can expect to see a significant increase then OK but I am going round in circles trying to find out if any upgrades are worth it or just one or two things will make a difference.

Any help will be apreciated.

More RAM would help as you are using 64 BIT OS and an SSD would certainly speed things up. I have a Vertex 60GB which just has my OS plus programs with 18 GB still free, everything else including 120 GB of games are on a Sata drive. The SSD although pricey is very fast, boot to desktop 25 seconds, programs open instantly, well worth the cash outlay.

gengiscant I had thought about putting one of these inlink text

1: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/partspecs.aspx?IMODULE=CTFDDAC256MAG-1G1 but then some one said it would only speed up boot time and wouldn't speed up the time taken to work on photo editing.

Or have they got that wrong.

link text

Ignore that link above, I do not know were that came from. Should have been a link to Crucial website, hopefully this is correct one.

The second link does not work either but I copied and pasted the URL.Perhaps you might be posting this query on a site more into photo editing. As I have said I have found that the software I use is very much quicker but I know nothing of photo editing.
