My Compaq Presario 6000 series (6245AE) uses a Nvidia GeForce4 MX 420 64mb. I wish to upgrade so that I can run Aero in Vista (This card does not have the power)but am a little confused by types oc cards (e.g. AGP PCI, know it is not PCI-E)So I need a direct replacement but which is 256 mb or more. Any suggestions?

download your motherboard manual for full info, as you have an old card it will probably be agp, this is the kind of slot on the motherboard that the card fits into. If you have a laptop no upgrade is possible. Have you checked if the rest of your system can run vista.
