upgrade from geforce 550 ti 1gb

Hi i need some help with upgrading my graphics card from a asus geforce 550 ti 1gb, my budget is around £200 to £240, any suggestions would be helpfull

Based on my own experience I would recommend a Asus GeForce GTX660 TI which performs very well for me at 1920x1080, in conjunction with an Intel Core i5 3570K.

thx for the response, ive been doing abit research into it and i think the 660 is a good choice but im worried that my system will bottle neck via my cpu which is pentium 4 dual core 3.00ghz,would upgrading that to quad core be better or is it fine the way it is :)

I'm no gamer, but I've certainly read extensively that there is no point in having a super-powerful graphics card if you can't get the data to it fast enough. I'd definitely look at a more recent - and probably quad core (or better) - processor, else you'd be wasting your money on the 660.

The 660 is far to fast a GPU for a Pentium 4, that chip is positively ancient.

What motherboard have you got?
