WE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH A PC WHICH IS A "TIME 500 3D DVD" WITH THE FOLLOWING SPEC, 500MHz, AMD K6 - 2 3D PROCESSOR, 20Gb HD, 16Mb ATI RAGE 128 GRAPHICS CARD, 128Mb SD RAM, WINDOWS 98.

ABOUT HALF THE HD CAPACITY IS USED, MOST SPACE TAKEN UP BY GAMES.

WE HAVE TROUBLE SOMETIMES WHEN BOOTING UP AND TRYING TO ACCESS INTERNET (ISP = AOL) - LOCKS UP, CRASHES.

CAN ANYONE GIVE RECOMMENDATIONS OR ADVISE APPROPRIATE UPGRADES (AT REASONABLE COST) THAT MIGHT ASSIST TO OVERCOME PROBLEM.

upgrade the memory to 512 if the motherboard can take it and maybe a buget graphics card like an mx440 or radeon 9200.anything else may be more cost than its worth.

use cleanup to get rid of temp files etc click here

run disc check and run a defrag.

try a reg cleaner click here click here

or reinstall windows and it will run as new.
