Updating to Windows XP

  Shorty 12:33 30 Jul 04

I am sure I remember someone posting a link ages ago to the Microsoft site to do with checking whether your hardware is OK to work under Windows XP. Had a search through the archive, but there are so many XP related posts I could not track it down. I am looking at updating from Windows ME to XP. I know my PC spec is up to the job, but I am not sure about CD/DVD/Mobo etc. Could someone please re-post the link for me. Thanks

I have Athlon 1ghz, 384mb Ram, 30gig HD, Radeon 9600pro.

In that case I really wouldnt worry at all.

It should all run fine.

Thanks, that is the link I remember. However I didn't remember the 50mb download, which will make my narrowband 56k wheeze and puff a bit. Maybe I'll just cross my fingers and install it anyway, a tried and trusted technical solution!

If you know anyone with an xp disc, you can run a system compatability check from that.
