Updating a website doesn't seem to work?

I maintain a website for a friend. He has now given me some changes to do. I use Dreamweaver MX and have made and saved the changes. When I upload the changes to the site (using CuteFTP) I get the usual message about this file already exists do you want to overwrite etc... and say yes to all. But when it has all finished and I check the site the changes are not there, it is still showing the old pages? Am I doing something wrong?

Have you refeshed or deleted the cache files on your PC?

You may be seeing the old pages becuase they are stored in your cache.

Go to the page - hold down CTRL and hit F5 to reload the pages into your browser from the originating site and not any cached pages.

thing myself last week.
i was updating a friends site because he only has dial up. it took about 2 hrs to realise my mistake was not to tick cheeck for new pages every time. just delete all cached pages and it should work
