updating my ipod

i've downlowded the iTunes to my computer to help me to send songs to my iopod, but the problem is when i updated view songs to my ipod, i lost the onse i had in my ipod before.

is there any idea how can i get my old once back?

or is there a way that i can put song into my ipod without deleting the old onse?

can you not put them all in a folder, delete all the tracks in the player, and then reload them.

My iRiver mp3 works that way, and that thing holds about 13000 tracks..
