updating external hard drive

I use an external hard drive as backup.
Is there any way that I can update it periodicaly without having to copy the entire contents again or without sending each individual new item to it?

Try EZBackitup
Great for backup of any data, but not the O.S.

A freebie, it is easily downloaded, set up to suit you.
A works as a batch file which can be used as you wish.
You choose which files to backup and where to copy them. This can be re-configuered when and however.

Normally all you do is click on a green arrow to go.

If you use cronis True Image, you can create a complete image periodically, and just updates to it as often as you wish.

Very simple to do and works very well indeed.

The advantage of TI is that the image is a complete copy of the whole of the drive, everything included - and the updates cover any and all changes to data, software, settings etc.

That should read Acronis - apologies.

Thanks DieSse

EZbackitup works fine for me.
