Updating bios-can you recover?

I've fitted a graphics card but I'm can't enable the fast write function.

I think this is due to I'm not running the latest version of the bios and so I was going to attempt to update this.

If this isn't successful or I realy mess up, is it possible to roll back the bios(i.e.after installing new bios, roll back to the bios before I installed the updated version)?

Cheers, dagwoood.

Yes. the program used to update the BIOS usally gives you the chance to backup the original.

It's a bit daunting the first time( I had to get bottle of wine down me first)but usually worth it.

Make sure the upgrade will solve your problem before you go ahead. Google "recover from a corrupt bios"

Good luck

Thank you for that. I don't know about one bottle, I feel like I need a couple!
