Update your Thunderbird while you can

Mozilla has placed Thunderbird in a "Stable deployment cycle" which means they are withdrawing slowly from supporting it with security and other updates, relying on the "outside community" to do it. They say Gmail and Hotmail have got the lions share of the market and that they are deploying their resources elsewhere.

I hope this is of interest to anybody.
