Re my previous posting on Star Office.

Just an update to inform you all I have found a copy of Star Office ver 5.1 on a cover disk from PC Answers Disk No 80 May 2000.

Well done! It was probably still free at that time!

Yep, and it says "Complete and Unrestricted office suite for windows".

The only other problem is I have been told it doesn't like being on the same system as MS Office.

Any comment?

Thanks. The only reason I need Star Office is I sent someone an excel file that contains macros.

he can open the file in star office but it will not import the macros.

I need star office to rewrite the macros for this person.

I will give it a try as I have two disks i will put it on the other disk to MS Office.
