unwanted pornographic e-mails

Every couple of days I receive one or two pornographic e-mails. From the subject there is no indication that they are of such content and the received "from e-mail addresses" vary each time a new one comes through.
The only bit of information that is the same on each message is in the Internet Header info the X-Envelope is from [email protected].
I have e-mailed this person (whoever they might be) and my messages bouch back to me, undelivered.
I use Sophos AV and it is updated every couple.
Any suggestions please.

YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE RESPONDED. You have now comfirmed that you are a legitimate e-mail address. If you have the latest copy of PCA. install Spam Pal from the CD. It really is a great program.

NEVER EVER respond to e-mails such as this as it will confirm to the sender that your email address is valid. I use Mailwasher which downloads only the headers from which it is possible to determine the content. Any dubious messages can then be blacklisted and bounced back to the sender.

annoy them as much as they annoy you! how do u do this? you simply open a new email account use that as your primary account then if its somthing like hotmail after a month it will close but spam mail will still b sent to that address and all that will happen is their own emails will bounce right back at em!!

All this talk of bouncing is fine, but I often wonder how much spam has genuine "from" fields - ie, are most not forged?

I have a yahoo account which was recently filled with undelivered returns which made me think that my yahoo address was used in the "from" field of a spamming mailshot.
