The computer is running XP Pro and whenever you go on the internet the homepage is automatically a porn channel - is there a method of removing it so I can have wanadoo as my homepage again.

Try this. It may solve it -

If the home page in IE's 'Tools, Internet Options' has been set to another home page and, possibly, greyed out, you can change the registry setting as follows -

To unlock it, start Regedit and open the folders Hkey_Current_User, Software, Policies, Microsoft, Internet Explorer, Control Panel. In the righthand pane you should see a value named HomePage. Right click and set the number to '0' When you restart Explorer you should find that the buttons are now enabled.

You can get hold of a free IE personaliser from -
This enables you to get rid of other customisation done by the service provider such as the words 'Internet Explorer supplied by ...' in the titlebar.
