Unwanted patch on my desktop

  thospot 14:52 05 Nov 05

I downloaded a programme called "Google earth" and although it is an excellent programme it has left a rather large white patch on my desk-top with the words Google earth written on it. I can't get rid of it. Could someone tell me how please....

I assume that you have uninstalled the google programe. I would remove anything in the registry that includes the word google. Having made a backup first of course.

Hi De Nada and youknowim thanks for the reply...
I haven't uninstalled the Google programe because I still want it, it is just the desktop addition that I don't want. I am not competant enough to use the registry so won't go there but will try the other suggestion asap.
