Somehow I have acquired an unwanted search toolbar on Internet Explorer. On the View menu it is called tool ball inter and even though I uncheck it and lock the toolbar it keeps returning. It has replaced my Google bar and inserted an array of bookmarks that I don't want - including on-line casinos and sex sites. My home home page has been replaced with click here and even when I try to replace it in IE Options it comes up as click here I have Spybot installed and McAfee and tried out PAL Spyware Remover. No luck. Help!

Try CW Shredder. click here and scroll down to Official Downloads.

If it does work, try Hijack This (same site), Scan, tick the offending item, and click Fix Checked.

D-Frame: yes, usual suggestion.

CDH: My post should read : If CW Shredder does NOT work, try Hijack This.

Great! CWShredder didn't work but HijackThis solved it - and smoothed out a couple of other little annoyances too. Thanks to all.
