Unwanted Hardware Install

I have installed a new motherboard, works well, however I have a problem (There's always one). I want to use my existing soundcard, instead of the one built into the motherboard, however every time I boot up, it 'Finds' new hardware and installs it, knocking out my soundcard. I then have to go into add/remove software to delete the software for this 'pest'. How can I stop it Auto Instaling. System in Use Windows XP Pro.
Many Thanks
Tery

You have to disable the onboard sound in the BIOS, if you just delete it in add/remove it will reinstall itself on startup.

I tried all the windows administration settings, checked the Registry, No good. I did not think to disable it from the BIOS. Worked Perfect. Thanks Again
