Unwanted forwarding of emails

In Summer 2003, yes, four years ago, my then ISP Powergen threw in the sponge and said its customers were to be transferred to another ISP. I could not transfer due to some glitch, could make no contact with Powergen by email or 'phone and so abandoned Powergen entirely and set up a new account with freeserve, (now orange), as my ISP. Then I arranged with Powergen through its website for my emails to be forwarded from Powergen to me at freeserve. For months now spam emails using my old Powergen email address have been forwarded to me. How do I now stop Powergen's successor forwarding these emails to me or how do I get orange to bin them immediately upon receipt? I don't want any of them, spam or genuine.
