unwanted embedded logo

  RussWoo 17:35 04 Jun 08

Having downloaded some security software, I decided I didn't want it and uninstalled it. Unfortunatly the company left their logo embedded against two of my Favourites (one of which is my ISP) and I can't remove them to replace with their own. I've tried deleting them and opening a new page in Internet Explore but to know avail.

Any ideas please?

I'm using Windows XP Home.

this may help...
manual delete favicon.ico files..
The file is stored in your Temporary Internet Files folder where it stays until you actually go in and manually delete it - clearing your T.I.F. folder in the usual way will not delete favicon.ico files.

You need to write down the name on the Logo, Start\Run\Regedit then go to Edit in menu type in find and put what you are looking for. Do not remove anything else in regedit, after each find press F3 to go to next

PS you right click on them and choose delete

Thanks, Mat - that did the trick.
