I run WinXP. I have a Download Folder and have just noticed that a porn site has downloaded itself in there. When I try to delete it I keep getting "Access denied". I have manged to delete the short cuts except the one on my task bar. As I don't download very often how has it got into my folder. Can anybody help as I am a novice to all this.

Try running Spybot click here

Alternatively take a note of the file name .exe etc, go to task manager, ctr,alt del. go to proccesses select the relevant task and end it. thats probably why it wont delete, as its in use, it should delete now.

problem this week I used Spybot (not for the first time) and it took out all my email settings! I couldn't access the internet.
So I used the XP system restore so be prepared for the worst.
Best of luck. M.

Have you tried right-clicking and renaming the folder..then delete?
