Every time I send an email, it has the attachment "blankbkgrnd.gif" People try to open it and it confuses them. Somebody informed that "it changes" if they forward it to a colleague.

Any ideas what this nuisance can be?

It sounds as if you are using stationary with Outlook Express and the receiver of the mail does not have a html enabled email client.

Try turing off the stationary and see what happens.
