unrecognised devices on wireless network

I have BT homehub broadband, however when i go onto me McAfee "manage netwrok" it shows a number of third party devices on my netwrok which I do not recognise. However, when i log on to by Homehub it only shows devices connected to the wireless that i know about. Why is there a difference between the two? and should I be worried?

Many thanks,

it could be showing other wireless networks in your area. If you have the correct security settings these other networks cannot connect through your system and you should not be able to use them either.

no, its not other wireless networks. I web rbower is also playing up. There defintely something wrong with my PC, but my anti-virus programme is not picking it up. Is there any other of scanning to search for a virus?
I have a WEP code for my wireless.
