unpartitioning a hard drive

Is there an easy way to unpartition a hard drive.
My son bought a computer with an 80gb drive with two partitions. The small partition is approx 6gb and is treated as the main drive. Any installed programs use up the available space very quickly and conflicts occur as and when he transfers data to the large partition to free up space. Is it possible to unpartition or has the drive to be reformatted.
Thanks for any advice.

Thanks guys, I did spot the Norton prog but didn't want to blow £30 if it didn't work. Its nice to have it endorsed. The other free prog Chegs, says it dosn't create or move partitions and I really wanted to find a removal tool. Thanks anyway.

Norton Partition Magic DOES resize partitions...

If you just want one partition, then delete one and resize the other and then you will have one large partition and you wont lose any data when doing this...
