Unnecessary Connection?

I have only one pc, AOL broadband, and two internet connections:
GlobeSpan USB ADSL and 1394 Net Adapter.
Does it matter that Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network is permanently disabled and disconnected or is it just a relic of having changed from dial-up to broadband?

Hi, with only one pc, as long as everything is working fine, I shouldn't think leaving things as they are would cause any problems.

Cheers

Thanks Technotiger, I would say 99% of things are working fine except in one program, Ashampoo WinOptimiser, where the Internet area link buttons to the vendor`s website will not work, even though clicking the addresses in the program`s Help and Support area works OK.
Pure ill-informed guesswork, of course, but I thought this disconnected gizmo might be the problem.

Could be the link button at fault - but as long as you can access via Help, should be ok.

Cheers
