I have just removed a gold card from the rear of my PC. I know it has never been used, but cannot remember what it was installed for in the first place? can anyone advise please.
I think it may well be something to do with a Camcorder.

It has the following:- 2 1394 lots, Centre Bass, SUR L/R, SPDIF Out, ATLR/R

thanks.

1394 is firewire, some cards also have usb2

It must have a label with something on it, surely?

The non-firewire connectors are all sound related.

No label, but I went into my loft found the old documents from the supplier, and the spec sheet.
I've found that it is a Chaintech Multimedia Card (Gold).

Thanks for everyones input.
