Try Winamp

taken from Wikepedia -:

"Microsoft Windows and its software does not automatically detect PLS format and cannot run it. Windows Media Player classic with K-Lite codec installed does work with PLS format but still will not automatically detect it."

There is a free download - "Real Alternative" which works in Win XP/98/ME/2000 which you could try. I use it for radio listeneing without problems.

cheers

PLS are playlist files, if the contents of the playlist are mp3 files, RA won't play 'em. Winamp,XMPlay good alternatives
