Unknown Device Base System in Device Manager.

Hi there,

I recently installed Win7 Home Premium on my Dell Inspiron 1525 which previously ran WinVista Home Premium (both are 32-bit.)

However, in Device Manager, there are two devices named as; Base System Device, each with an (!) mark for them. When I dig deeper to see what these devices are, I get the following name for each of them;

1) PCI, bus 2, device 9, function 3 and,
2) PCI, bus 2, device 9, function 4

When I then look at the Physical Object's Name, I get this;

1) Device\NTPNP_PCI0024 and,
2) Device\NTPNP_PCI0023

I'm not really sure what is going on! I tried using Win Updates to find the drivers, but it cannot find anything. I have a feeling that they may be devices for the integrated webcam and the card reader; however, I know I installed a driver for the card reader, so I am not sure what the other device is for... :s

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Also just realised,

When searching through to find my resource CD I came across a copy of Dell MediaDirect which has on the CD to install it before installing WinVista.

Just a question; should I have installed Dell MediaDriect before installing Win7?
