unknown client on network

earlier this week i posted about having problems with my daughters connection. these have been resolved, however the initial problem began when wanted to place security on my network as there is an unknown client using it. in the dchp list it comes up as "MY-PC" ( without the quotes) and a MAC.

there are two questions i want to raise.

1. how can i successfully secure the network without breaking my daughters connection? although i can configure my router and setup a network the security aspect is failing me and this is where i need help

2. is there any way i can either trace this MAC or manually block it from the network.

it had a full MAC no which is not on my network as i know both my daughters and my own, each of wnich have individual names nothing generic like the my-pc
