Unistall problem

I tried to delete a game demo from my PC last night, but when I say yes to uninstall it comes up saying, ?Could Not Open Install.log File?. I thought this might just be for that demo so I tried it on a couple of other bits of software and the same happened again.

Does anyone know why this file will not open so I can delete the software?

My operating system is XP.

Thank you

Try this.

Go to the relevant folder where the game or application is installed.

Check that the install.log file is there.

If so, see if there's an unwise.exe file.

If so, click Start, Run, type cmd and press Enter to open a command prompt window.

At the C:> prompt, change the directory to the folder where the game is installed.

For example, at the prompt, type:

cd program files\game and press Enter.

At the next prompt, type:

unwise install.log

and press Enter.

See if it works.

After that, you may need to delete the Program Files\game folder manually.
