Uninstalling MS AUTOROUTE 2001

  JimButler 14:09 10 Nov 04

When I use C/Panel to attempt uninstall of MS Autoroute 2001 I get a dialog box asking for load of setup CD. I Stick AutoRoute CD in and get "cannot find path". Uninstall appears to be looking for file
Data.msi which is there OK on CD. Autoroute is part of Dell delivered MS Works suite consisting of 7 CD`s so I have also tried sticking in CD 1
which is labelled "Works setup suite 2001".
Is there any other good way of uninstalling I can try in this instance ?

then run program like 'Ccleaner'and 'Regseeker' to get rid of broken links - ;)

I don`t THINK that will work cos this is what I`ve already tried to no avail-
1) I renamed Autoroute folder to OLD
2) I removed ALL registry software entries for Autoroute ( called MSMap in registry )
I restarted PC. Now you`d think this should sort.. but Autoroute still appears in list of
installed programs ! ( XP Home by the way )

Try going to Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs.

Click on Change next to Autoroute 2001 and you'll get a choice of repair or remove.

Choose repair and it will ask for the necessary disks to be inserted.

Once re-installed try uninstalling again.
