uninstalled left over files

Have uninstalled a game in order to reinstall it. Does not show in Add/Remove programs and cannot be found using Explorer.
Therefore when I try to reinstall get message "prev. version found uninstall it first"
?Honest am at wits end -- please pretty please any help will be welcome.

right click on my computer, explore, expand drive c or whatever is your main drive, expand programe files, look for the game leftover folder, right click on it and delete.

ta but must say have been through explorer with a toothcomb on drives C--D and F no files relasting to Cyan sworld, ubisoft or
myst V are to be found yet the installation disc insists its still there

Have you checked the registry, yet? Start > Run, type in


and click OK to view the registry editor, then go to Edit > Find.

You could also try ccleaner, see if it picks up anything. click here

There may be settings left in the registry. If the program uses Microsoft's Installer then click here may help.

Of course, if you're going to remove things from the registry, make sure you do a backup first, you don't need to backup if you're only going to look in there.

run, regedit, hkey local user, software, expand look for the game folder and delete. hkey local machine. software, expand delete game folder. be careful not to delete anything other than the game you are looking for.
