Is it possible to uninstall windows defender as it doesn't show in programmes/features in control panel or start menu.
If you,ve got CCleaner,Tools,Uninstaller, and find Defender. Then click run uninstaller.
Check this siteclick here
Thanks for repyling.Already took it out of the start menu.Have ccleaner so will try to uninstall with that.
Are you using Vista? If so be careful about removing elements of Defender because I think they are part of the Vista OS, not a free standing program, which is why it's not in add/remove.
Why not just disable it?
As anskyber says if you are using Vista leave well alone it is part of the OS.
Can't be removed, but can be easily disabled as per click here
Already had it disabled but thought as not using it i may as well uninstall. Thanks for all advice.Think i will settle for leaving it disabled.
