Uninstall Norton from a Packard Bell laptop

I am trying to uninstall Norton Internet Security 2004 from a new Packard Bell EasyNote C3300 laptop which came with the above already installed the user wants Mcafee instead. The problem is that there is no obvious way of uninstalling it either through control panel add/remove programs which does not even list Norton just "liveupdate" or using the Packard Bell Smart Restore utility which allows you to re-install but not uninstall. The program is working and updated so it is installed properly so why can I not remove it in the conventional manner? Puzzled can anyone help!

There should be an uninstall tool at Symantec site.

points out - there is a tool ( RNIS tool ) available at Symantec site.

It takes a little finding but it is there. I think I only got to it by putting " uninstall Norton Internet Security " in the search box.

Thanks a lot for your replies, I would not have known to look in the obvious place!
