I am trying to uninstall Adaptec UDF Reader but each time I try I get an error code

Ox00000002 saying it failed

Any clues?

You mean Direct CD. It meens a manual uninstall.

To remove follow these step's closely, go to start\find\files or folders type in the box Direct CD click enter key delete all the entry's it finds with Direct CD in it. Next go to start run type regedit and press enter, go to menu under edit click find in the box type Direct CD and press enter it will bring up only one entry at a time, press delete key then click ok to confirm to go to next entry press F3 and delete do this until you get to the end of the registry. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE IN THE REGISTRY other than Direct CD then reboot your computer

You refer to your postings but how do I find them?

  woodchip 16:11 08 May 04

In regedit have you tried without the space as DirectCD

  minty1 16:43 08 May 04

Doing that, I find an entire DirctCD folder. Safe to delete the whole folder and contents?

Yes all and in regedit. just follow the above to do it and you will be safe
