Unexpected shutdown

  GBL 15:00 06 Oct 07

For some reason my PC has started to shutdown for no explained reason,it does reboot, so all I know is from tell tale signs like no internet connection etc. nothing new has been installed or removed and it has been OK until the last few days.
Could it be wearing out, it is a few years old and on every day.
Mainboard is the socket A as far as I know. Any ideas??

Might need a clean click here but only a guess.

I gave it a good clean a few months ago when I fitted a new DVD recorder. This problemm has only just started. One minute you can be working away then it shuts down for no apparent reason. It has done this at least once a day for about a week now.

is it clogged up with dust causing overheating, or maybe the psu is coming to the end of it's days.
