'Uncontrolled' internet connections

  novice_tyro 13:43 22 Jul 03

Folks - I have noticed lately that every time I open a folder, my dial up connection gets started.

I also notice that when I do connect to my ISP, the web address includes some sort of passthrough address.

Can anybody explain to me what is happening and better still how I can return to the vanilla flaovour behaviour?

Many thanks in advance.

Many thanks.

I have trid as you suggested and that seems to have cleaned things up.

However, when I start up IE I still have the following default 'home' address.

The 'k7885' part seems to change every time I start up explorer.

What can I do the remove this please?
