Unallocated Drive

Windows 7. When I am in disk management I see my main drive in blue, but next to it is 10GB unallocated with a black bar. How do I put that 10GB back into my main drive? Thanks.

Right click partition to left and Extend.

But...

I would be intrigued why you have ended up with 10GB Unallocated.

Was it something else? It's not your Recovery Partition that has gone AWOL is it?

A more flexible alternative to Disk Management is Partition Wizard.

Also has a Partition Recovery function if you want to scan the Unallocated 10GB and see if it reports anything.

Oh and caveats apply about you really should backup before messing with partitions etc.

Its probably the X drive that contains the system tools and image for your machine.

Accessed by pressing F8 (F5) at boot.

I would leave it well alone if I was you

Ok thanks both
