I am using a Gigabyte ga-8s655fx ultra motherboard. 2 brand new 80g samsung spin point UDMA hard drives. When i boot up the PC i get a prompt "no raid installed!!!. I have tried various configurations of the BIOS with no joy.when i ctrl s to create the raid i follow the prompts but there is no indication that the HDD are registered but when i ctrl g as directed it registers the HDD as raid 0 and all seems ok but when i try to install XP Pro it says that there are no hard disks to load on to.
some one help me as i will go grey or bald

click here to visit a site that gives in depth detailed instructions about setting up a raid array, formatting (and partitioning if you want to do that too).

a second page gives instructions on installing Xp onto the new raid array.

I had no experiance with the above two tasks, followed the instructions from the sight above, and am using the PC i did it on now.
