ref to a previous thread an answer from Rayuk referring me to [compatibilty for usb boot devices].
I downloaded from http:/ click here org/ a progam called HIDViewto testif my usb/mouse would work in pc bootup. I tried to test my usb keyboard/mouse.As soon as i pressed test my keyboard/mouse ceased to operate.I tried my old PS/2 mouse and it worked.the test on my hid units stated there was no hid units attached.Has anyone any idea what happened.I did the test 3 times .

Why not go buy a cheap PS2 keyboard you can get them from a Computer Fair from about £2

i will give that a try.
But i am still wondering why my usb keyboard/mouse stopped registering when i ran the HIDView test.Wich means i cannot test it.

I wonder if that is because a bootup disk goes to DOS, and USB doesn't work in DOS.
