Unable to sign in to wireless network with new lap

Have a wireless network set up via a netgear dg834g v3 router, currently running pc wired through router without problem. Have been trying unsuccessfully to connect to network wirelessly with new laptop. When i try to connect to my own 'secure' network access is denied, without me being asked for my password. I am, however, able to connect to non-secured networks. Other secure ones ask for a password, why isn't mine?

Do you have MAC address filtering enabled, which is blocking the new Laptop's access? It may be called something like "Wireless Card Access list"in the router's Advanced Wireless Settings.
