For all the "tekkies"n out there, this has stomped me. 2 PC's, sitting next to each other, the first running XP Home (A), the second running Win98SE(B), both on a normally wired TCP/IP standard network without a domain controller. Both have their master drives shared, both can successfuly PING each other, and are in the same workgroup. When listing the network PC's, both appear when viewed in WE, on both PC's. PC A can see the C: drive on B:, but can't access it. PC B however, can access the C: drive on A. All the usual settings appear to be correct - what do you think is stopping B from accessing A's C: drive??
